I am an interventional cardiologist in Akron, Ohio where I have been in practice for the past 17 years. I was part of a large single specialty cardiology group, which was ultimately taken over by the competing hospital system in Akron. I remained on staff at Akron General and became a hospital employee approximately 4 years ago. I have been the director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab since 2008. I am getting married and consequently am looking to relocate.
I have been fortunate to have been one of two interventionalists in a 450-bed hospital and have averaged 350 plus angioplasties per year for the vast majority of my tenure at Akron General Medical Center.
I have successfully started a transradial interventional program that includes “same-day discharge” percutaneous interventions and transradial STEMI’s.
We have an active STEMI program with excellent “door to balloon times” and clinical outcomes. I was instrumental in making our program the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in the area.
I have been collaborating with one of our cardiothoracic surgeons to develop a “hybrid-revascularization” program. He is the only surgeon in the area performing robot assisted coronary bypass. Our patients are completely revascularized without having their chest cracked open (combined mammary graft to left anterior descending artery and stents to the remaining vessels). Best of all they are home in 2 days.
I am the Chairman of the Catheterization and Interventional Quality Improvement Committee. My current focus has been on “appropriateness of care”.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
S. Leslie Tobias, MD, FACC, FSCAI

I am a currently a senior electrophysiology fellow at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania awaiting graduation December 2012 having completed an 18-month advanced fellowship. I have previously completed a 1-year electrophysiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts.
I have received extensive training in complex ablation procedures including personally performing more than 200 atrial fibrillation and 75 ventricular tachycardia ablations. I have also implanted more than 300 devices including 95 left ventricular leads and performed 22 laser lead extractions. In addition to my extensive experience, I am board-certified in cardiac electrophysiology, clinical cardiology and internal medicine and hold a Masters degree in healthcare administration.
I am looking for a dynamic cardiology or electrophysiology group that I can help to grow and expand with my clinical and procedural skills. I would greatly prefer to practice 100% EP. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with groups in order to discuss a position.
